A Dual Role Support Normal / Emergency
Faced with the number of natural disasters of origin that occur each year, there is consensus that most of these find their ultimate explanation in the location of higher populations in vulnerable populations, often under precarious material conditions. The aim is therefore to intervene directly in this problem, reducing the risk of a disaster occurring or mitigating its impact on the population or material goods. Specifically, the subject of Tsunamis and Marejadas is addressed.

The coastal edge between Reñaca and Concón is studied for having different border conditions, mostly cliff and rocky. Performing a multi-variant Macro Study by sections, the most unfavorable place is identified from the emergency point of view to locate the project. Then a study is made of the place obtaining the design guidelines that take charge of the problematic of the Dual Normality / Emergency use consolidating the sector and promoting the reactivation of the section studied.
The area thrown by the study is an area of Sanctuaries of Nature, composed of the Dunar Field and the Oceanic Rock. The project seeks the connection of these Sanctuaries through a system of significant moments.

DUALITY.

In the day to day the program, according to the user of the place, is a Natural and Geological Maritime Museum. In the catastrophe, it focuses on the previous stage to this, speci fi cally in the state of alert or Tsunami alarm guaranteeing the evacuation of the users to the safe level. For this the project is articulated through ramps of easy access and it is also generated, visual connections Interior-Exterior from different points throughout the building, guaranteeing the recognition of the situation, and in normality, making the Landscape an important part of The exhibition.
