Forest is a neighborhood of working-class origin, with close early at the beginning of the 20th century in Viña del Mar, Chile. Given this characteristic of informal settlement, its growth followed the same organic logic, in a way that their main means of mobility are human-scaled (enough network of stairs and passages) in conjunction with what was historically its main area of leisure and dispersion, the dam of forest. The latter, given their characteristic stories and topographical, becomes a natural catalyst for mobility within the population. The project is conceived-as a tree, taking it as an element that gives place to a series of experiments for the inhabitant, both in criteria physical, psychological or spiritual is concerns. This is subdivided into:
1.1 root: Organ that serves to absorb minerals and water (nutrients) and support for the growth of the plant and its development
1.2 trunk: Backbone of the element, where they congregate forms of life and use.
1.3 cup: The cup of a plant refers to all parties on the ground, including stems, leaves, and reproductive structures.
In Chile there is culturally a gap between living in a highly seismic zone and the infrastructure provided by the State to live in it, where it is not responsible for horizontal and real way to the requirements of its context. Equipment public isn't prepared or planned to be useful to the population within emergency contexts. In this way, the project under the use of the free plan is positioned as a detachable element which serve for the relevant neighborhood functions within emergency contexts.
