SISTEMA PRODUCTIVO HIDRO-AGRÍCOLA
The hydroagricultural production system project deals with one of the main issues in the Andean zone where this project takes place. The lack of water along with the lack of productivity in the territory are the starting point to propose an infrastructure network that together form a system or a support net for the local context. This allows to welcome and develop different productive activities linked to the territory (fog catchers and local farming) to consolidate their function in cultural aspects as well as the participation of the local community.
The hydroagricultural infrastructure as a key element gets its importance as a subject matter for its absence in the territory. Since these systems are a natural part of a context, its absence might be the chance for the architecture to take care of this issue, building an efficient system that not only includes the architectural component, but also the concept of community gets even more relevant, taking this as a subject matter from which the codes of the place will be drawn, in order to find its place in the landscape.
The approach from the architecture is to propose and create an integral system of productive infrastructure that corresponds to an architectural mixture, going from the petro (aspect taken from the territorial analysis and its codes) to the ephemeral, being this a functional and referential portrayal that shows the implicit codes in the territory. This is how we find patterns, codes and typologies that strengthen the project, empowering its function and its visualization in the landscape. This way, it looks to be a positive element from its constructive and aesthetics aspects.
